Microban® is a manufacturing process that adds anti-microbial protection to hundreds of consumer, industrial and medical products. Its active ingredients are incorporated into the polymer structure of products during manufacture.

Microban® provides continuous protection against growth of
bacteria,
mold, and some forms of algae that can cause product degradation,
odor or stains. It cannot be washed off or worn off the surface. The protection is designed to last for the estimated lifetime of the products in which it’s used.
Even so,
Microban® is not intended to protect people against disease-causing microorganisms. Surfaces, fixtures and implements with this protection need to be cleaned and disinfected as thoroughly as similar products not made with Microban®.
These products include a wide range of surfaces, fixtures and finishes for homes and commercial buildings, as well as bedding, humidifiers, apparel, and certain medical products. Microban® is a registered trademark of Microban International Ltd., New York, N.Y., which licenses its use by manufacturers.
