Microfiber products are an excellent adjunct to a healthy cleaning program, since the microscopic surface characteristics of these unique textiles have been shown to remove many types of soil and bacteria using water and your motion only.
It is worth noting that water is the single greatest cleaning solvent on Earth, with more substances being soluble in water than any other liquid.
Water is also the most cost-effective cleaner available, with the best safety record.
Resolve to dissolve
Ensure proper dwell time for all cleaners — not just disinfectants — to dissolve soil. Leaving a cleaning solution in contact with a surface longer often enables using a milder cleaner while reducing the agitation and labor needed to remove soil.
For example, when cleaning floors, a two-step process enables using less chemical and labor: Apply a pH-neutral cleaning solution liberally to the floor and after several minutes of “dwell” remove the liquid along with the dissolved soil. The solution/dwell time does much of the work.
Cleaning enhancements
Foaming and gel-type products enhance those benefits, because the foam keeps the active ingredients in contact with the soil longer, reducing the need for scrubbing and more caustic cleaners.
