Gray LaFortune
Currently the Director of the Ceramic Tile Institute of America (CTIOA, www.ctioa.org), LaFortune has worked in the tile industry for 25 years.
He spent ten years working in the field as an installation professional and seven years from the mid-1980s through the early 1990s as a project manager for a large commercial installation company. During that time, he managed several of the largest installations of tile in the Los Angeles area.
LaFortune worked as the Technical Director for CTIOA for five years and developed the Ceramic Tile Consultant (CTC) course in its current format. CTIOA Director for five years, LaFortune’s current projects include the University of Tile and Stone CTC training program and CTIOA tile inspections for purposes of litigation and arbitration. LaFortune arranged a national program to train inspectors for such investigations.
