Residue

Residues contain chemical compounds or soils remaining after cleaning. Incomplete rinsing, mopping or mechanical removal are frequently reasons why residue remains on a surface. Inadequate mopping, for example, will leave a filmy residue of soil or old floor polish on the surface. Additional application of a floor-finishing product would seal the residue onto the floor, typically leaving a cloudy or streaked appearance. Incomplete degreasing of any surface will leave a residue of cleaner, grease and dirt, requiring additional cleanings for removal.

The best way to combat residue is to follow label directions carefully on all products and to rinse, rinse, rinse.
