The following instructions are specific to electric baseboard radiators. Please see the entry Radiator heating system for identification information.

For safety and best results, turn off the circuit breaker that powers the radiator and wait until the radiator is completely cold before starting any cleaning task. Use a
vacuum cleaner crevice tool to remove dust from inside and around electrical radiators. Don’t attempt to remove any panels. Panels on some models form an integral part of the heating elements, and disassembly can pose a shock hazard. Simply insert a vacuum crevice tool above and below the heating elements to remove dust from inside the unit.
Clean away grime and stuck-on dust from exterior surfaces with a spray of any mild, all-purpose household cleaner applied to a
sponge or soft cloth. Wipe away cleaner and soil
residue with a second cloth or
sponge dampened with clean
water. Dry with a soft cloth or towel.
Warning: To prevent shock and fire hazards, don’t spray liquid cleaner directly onto the radiator, and never direct spray inside electric radiators.
